1.
Perpuluhan Dalam Perjanjian Lama
a.
Abraham
2.
Pembagian Hukum Taurat
-
Ketetapan dan hukum-hukum ibadah : liturgi,
ceremonial, korban darah binatang, minyak urapan, ceremonial imam-imam,
pelayanan dalam ibadah.
-
raya-masa raya.
-
Hukum kesusilaan, etika, peraturan-peraturan
kelakukan terjadap Allah, hukum pernikahan, 10 hukum Tuhan denga intinya hukum
kasih dan juga persepuluhan.
Yang dilakukan oleh Abraham dan
diturunkan kepada 2 keturunannya yaitu Israel dan gerejanya. Yesus tidak pernah
membatalkan hukum taurat tapi Yesus menggenapi hukum taurat (Matius 5 : 17), Ia
kasih karunia. Sedangkan yang ke-3 tidak dibatalkan tapi dilakukan sebagai
suatu kebenaran.
3.
Perpuluhan Dalam Perjanjian Baru
16-17).
4.
Dampak Rohani & Jasmani Karena Taat
Perpuluhan
-
Unsur penyembahan kita pada Tuhan, bahwa kita
berada dibawah otoritas, ketaatan pada Firman Allah. Kita memberikan roh, jiwa
dan tubuh kita pada Tuhan. Tuhan pemilik hidup kita. Penyembahan merupakan
pintu gerbang lahirnya damai sejahtera, sukacita yaitu suasana surgawi.
-
Kita adalah makhluk ciptaan yang menghormati
otoritas Allah sebagai pencipta. Menjadikan Tuhan sebagai satu-satunya tuan
dalam hidup kita bukannya mamon.
-
Bukti ketulusan dan kejujuran hati kita. Perpuluhan
menjadi pokok persembahan kita.
-
Perpuluhan menjadi kebenaran kita bahwa hidup
memberkati (Maleakhi 3 : 8 – 11) memberikan perpuluhan menjadi bukti ketaatan
-
Perpuluhan untuk menguji kasih dan ketaatan kita
pada Tuhan.
Kita memberikan perpuluhan bukan supaya kita diberkati. Kita
Kasih kita
pada Tuhan dinyatakan lewat ketaatan kita memberikan perpuluhan. Keberkatan yang
kita terima hanya kegenepan Firman yang mengikuti perbuatan kebenran yang kita
lakukan (Maleakhi 3 : 8 – 11; Yakobus 1 : 25). Tuhan memberkati kita semua.
Amin.
Amin.

Have knowledge and understanding of the tithe as taught in the Word of God will make sure we know what we do and do not make us swayed by the variety of teaching about the tithe that is incompatible with the truth of the Word.
1. Tithing in the Old Testament
a. Abraham
Tithing is not the law but the truth of the Word of God, that God wants us to do to this day. Tithing was done 430 years before the law existed. The first act of tithing They were made by Abram or Abraham (Kejadain 14: 17-20). Abraham did this action because the Spirit of God, not because of regulations or orders. At that Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek. In Hebrews 7: 1-3, Melchizedek is the image of God made flesh (Theophani). Even in the Old Testament the Lord Jesus was not yet revealed, but Abraham has his personal encounter with God, in the form of three angels who come to see Abraham before Sodom & Gomorrah event.
b. Jacob (Genesis 28: 20-22)
The second person who does the tithe is Jacob, Abraham's grandson. When Jacob on his way to Haran, he stayed in Luz, and he dreamed meliha stairway to heaven and angels ascending and descending through the steps, and he vowed. What Jacob did happen before the Torah was given to Moses.
A lot of truth in the law that existed before the law was given. As well as provision for sin. It began when Adam and Eve sinned, they use leaves to cover their nakedness, but God took the skins of animals to cover their nakedness. That means no animals were sacrificed for their sins. So the justification through the blood of the victim occurred long before the Torah. Abraham and Jacob are faithful tithe is not part of the Torah, but God's provision in force until the treaty stone.
2. Division of Law
- Provisions and laws of worship: the liturgy, ceremonial, animal blood sacrifice, the anointing oil, ceremonial priests in worship services.
- Regulations for the life of Israeli society, customs which specifically applies to the nation of Israel who organize feast days of highway.
- The law of decency, ethics, behavior rules terjadap God, marriage laws, 10 laws of God's law of love its core premises and also the tithe.
Performed by Abraham and his descendants down to two, namely Israel and the church. Jesus did not cancel the law but Jesus fulfilled the law (Matthew 5: 17), He is there as a priest, the Lamb of God and the Messiah. So that the law of the 1 and 2 are fulfilled by God through his sacrifice on the cross, shed his blood to pay all our sins. Jesus fulfilled the law and bring it to a nobler law is the law of grace. While the to-3 was not canceled but was done as a truth.
3. Tithing in the New Testament
During his life on earth is 3.5 years, the Lord did not focus his teaching on tithing because it is a necessity for the nation of Israel (Matthew 23: 23). God focused on his primary mission, salvation of all mankind. God adds a higher value, that we give the tithe was not because of regulation but because of a sense of our love for God. In the new agreement, the redemption by the Lord Jesus, make our whole life belongs to God (I Corinthians 6: 19-20; II Corinthians 5: 15), therefore we should give to Caesar / man what is Caesar / man has and to God what God has (Matt. 22: 17-21)
And what is done by Abraham, was a provision for us as well, because Abraham is the father of the nation and because of Jesus Christ, even we become spiritual Israel-Israel (Hebrews 4: 16-17).
4. Spiritual & Physical Impacts Because obedient Tithing
- Elements of our worship to God, that we are under the authority, obedience to the Word of God. We're giving spirit, soul and body to God. Lord of our lives. Worship is the gateway to the birth of the peace and joy that is a heavenly atmosphere.
- We are creatures who respect the authority of God as creator. God as the sole masters of our lives instead of mammon.
- Proof of sincerity and honesty of our hearts. Tithing become a staple of our offerings.
- Tithing becomes our truth that life is blessed (Malachi 3: 8-11) to tithe is proof of our obedience to the Word of God that makes God to fulfill His promise.
- Tithing to test our love and obedience to God.
We tithe is not that we are blessed. We tithe because we love God and want to claim that God is the only Lord and Master of our lives, not Mammon. Our love for God is expressed through our obedience to tithe. Blessing we receive word that follows only kegenepan kebenran deeds that we do (Malachi 3: 8-11; James 1: 25). God bless us all.
Amen.
